In the summers of 2008 and 2009, Phil worked as a photography counselor at Camp Takajo in Naples, ME on Long Lake. While working there, he fell head-over-heels in love with the neighboring Lake Sebago. After we made our two-week fun family adventure to Nantucket, we knew we had to take a trip up to Portland and Sebago Lake. The park at Sebago Lake offers ample hiking, amazing swimming at a good number of beaches and plenty of camping spots. Facilities include a lunch bar, lifeguards, playgrounds, plenty of bathrooms, bbqs, volleyball courts and much more. If you are ever in the Portland area, the 40-minute or so drive up to the lakes region is well worth it, especially if you have the family with you. For more info visit Maine.gov/sebagolake.
