Along Ocean Drive, nestled between mansion after mansion sits a beautiful little spot on the way to the famed Bellevue Avenue in Newport, RI. Back in 2011, a random drive down the road brought me to this spot, I was instantly hooked. A small protective cove gives way to the Atlantic ocean, and yes the view is truly breathtaking. There are two small beaches open to the public (Ive been here a couple times and never seen anyone swimming) and a couple spots where you can put a kayak in the water. There is plenty of parking but be careful with the kids because some cars do tend to drive pretty fast along Ocean Drive.
