Last night we had a little fun family adventure making Phil's parents our super tasty homemade Truffle Oil Mushroom Pizza.
They are by far, one of our favorite things to make and one of Jake's all time favorite things to eat (phil's parents loved them too).
Our recipe is pretty straightforward, one pack Stonefire pizza crust, two cups shredded Gruyere cheese, two cups Burrata mozzarella cheese, 1 package mushrooms sautéed, 1/2 cup of raw white onion and white or black truffle oil (black is slightly more potent).
Our secret ingredient in all of this, is using our Chargriller grill to cook the pizza.
The flames from the grill flavor the crust and crisp it like an oven never could.
The key is to oil the grill with Olive oil or truffle oil, then place the top side (side where you will put your toppings) on the grill at a low heat.
Cook until brown and then pull off the grill and put your cheese and other toppings on.
Now it's time to head back to the grill, re-oil the grill and pop your pies back on for another 5 minutes.
This pizza is super easy to make and tastes absolutely delicious.
For a final flair of awesomeness, Polish your pies off with some of that truffle oil. You will not be disappointed.
