This past summer, Melanie, Jake and myself, set out on a two-week long adventure with our main destination being my cousin's wedding in Siasconset on the island of Nantucket.
We began this epic journey by simply preparing ourselves with all the necessities. Food, clothing, diapers, you name it, we had it packed into the bed of our Ford F150 XLT. Our first stop we made along the way was my family friend's, Joanne and Terry, farm. They own a gorgeous piece of property at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.
We had a great time playing with the horses, swimming in the river and driving the truck around the farm, but really the best part of Virginia, is when I proposed to Melanie on our second day there, on top of Stony Man Summit in Shenandoah National Park.
That post to come tomorrow. For now, enjoy these photos from our first couple days on the road.
