Our Story
As a family of six, (Jake,9, Emma ,5, Little Phil ,4, Everleigh ,1, Melanie, 31, and Phil, 33), we are constantly seeking the next adventure and on the search for amazing food. From fun in the sun to hiking mountains to exploring far away islands, we love to have fun family adventures anywhere and everywhere.
When we first began this blog, we were living in Vero Beach. We felt that there was a lack of guidance for family friendly activities. We often found that when we would search on review sites and apps, that it was hard to decipher what was family friendly, and what was not.
Our mission is simple. By documenting and sharing our family adventures, we hope to help inform the parenting community of the best family friendly places to visit, eat, hike, and travel. From Treasure and Space Coasts of Florida to all across the globe, we hope to inspire your family to never stop adventuring.
Phil was a professional photojournalist for over 10 years where his career culminated as a visual information specialist working on the Space Program at Cape Canaveral with the US Air Force's 45th Space Wing. Phil graduated from Flagler College with a BA in Journalism and a minor in Advertising. Check out Phil's portfolio at PhilSunkel.com. Today Phil is a Real Estate agent in Vero Beach, FL.
Melanie is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where she earned her BS in Psychology. She is a skilled chef, baker, blogger, photographer and a full-time mommy.
